Privacy policy

Any capitalized terms used in this Privacy Policy are defined on the Terms of Service page, Section 1 (Definitions), located at https://packagejs.com/db.posts/terms.

We take our obligation to protect the privacy of your personal information seriously. This Privacy Policy details our privacy practices for the activities described in this Privacy Policy. PackageJS may modify the Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised version on this page https://packagejs.com/db.posts/privacy and providing notice on this page that the Privacy Policy has been updated.

We collect information about you when you provide it to us, when you interact with our websites and electronic systems, and when you attend events (online or in person). We do not use cookies at this time but reserve the right to do so in the future.

We generally process your data when we need to do so to fulfill a contractual obligation, or provide you with a service. These reasons include:

- Preventing risk and fraud;
- Answering questions or providing other types of support;
- Providing and improving our products and services;
- Providing reporting and analytics;
- Testing out features or additional services.

PackageJS may share personal information with its subsidiaries, contractors, or third-parties if PackageJS undergoes a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition by another company or sale of all or substantially all of its assets.

We will only use DEF_DEVELOPER's email address (never DEF_DEVELOPER's DEF_END_USER(s)'s email addresses) to promote marketing materials, DEF_INCLUDING events, new tools or features, unless DEF_DEVELOPER chooses to unsubscribe. DEF_DEVELOPER(s) cannot unsubscribe from emails pertaining to essential communication, DEF_INCLUDING customer complaints, billing disputes, suspension or termination notices. PLEASE BE AWARE that if you just report our emails to spam instead of unsubscribing, you may not receive subsequent essential communication, and may have your account suspended or terminated without prior notice to you due to your failure to respond to a violation of DEF_TERMS, DEF_INCLUDING a failure to pay for DEF_SERVICES, or a DEF_END_USER privacy complaint.

No one can truly guarantee the security of information stored, nor data transmitted over the Internet, however, we do have security measures in place to protect your data and your DEF_END_USER(s)'s data.

If your personal data has been submitted to us by or on behalf of a PackageJS DEF_DEVELOPER and you wish to exercise any rights you may have under applicable data protection laws, please inquire with the applicable DEF_DEVELOPER directly. Because we may only access a DEF_DEVELOPER's data upon instruction from that DEF_DEVELOPER, if you wish to make your request directly to us, please provide to us the name of the DEF_DEVELOPER who submitted your personal data to us. We will refer your request to that DEF_DEVELOPER and support them as needed in responding to your request within a reasonable timeframe. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to reach that DEF_DEVELOPER if their contact information is invalid or out of date, but if that is the case, then their account will be subject to suspension and/or termination (and your data will therefore be deleted).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 years old. If you are under 18 years old, do not use or provide any information on DEF_SERVICES or DEF_COMMUNITIES, DEF_INCLUDING on or through any of their features, register on DEF_COMMUNITIES or DEF_SERVICES, make any purchases through DEF_COMMUNITIES or DEF_SERVICES, use any of the interactive or public comment features of DEF_COMMUNITIES or DEF_SERVICES, or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any screen name or user name you may use. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 18 years old, we will delete that information without undue delay.

If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, or believe we might have any information from or about a child under 18 years old, please contact us at legal@packagejs.com.
